2-Hour Knitting Technique: Steek
Vanquish the fear of cutting your knitting.
This class will focus on how to cut your knitting to open up a project. We will also discuss when this is a useful skill to apply.
Instruction takes place on August 31 from 1-3pm. Basic knitting skills needed to learn this technique. A follow-up from the colorwork cozy class on August 17.
Materials provided by student:
A completed circular knit item (colorwork cozy from the Aug 17th class, or get details from Karista)
Circular knitting needle, size US 5 (3.75mm) 24″ length, 9″ length, or DPNs (all types will be shown, but you choose what works best for you)
Crochet Hook, size F (3.75mm)
Progress keeper (locking stitch marker)
Tapestry needle
Sharp scissors
3 x 1/2″ buttons
