Alzheimer’s Support Group
Over 8,500 people in Wyoming are living with Alzheimer’s disease, and 28,000 family and friends are helping to care for them. Alzheimer’s is often referred to as a ‘caregivers disease’ because of the tremendous toll – physically, emotionally and financially – it takes on caregivers.
The new Wyoming Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association has established a support group for caregivers in Cody. Just created last July, the Wyoming Chapter is moving fast to provide support groups, community education and one-on-one counseling for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
All those caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or another dementia are invited to participate in the Caregiver Support Group.
