Cody 49ers Rock Club

Our March 23, 2023 meeting will be held on this coming Thursday back at our usual meeting place in the Grizzly Room at the Park County Library in Cody (1500 Heart Mountain Street Cody, WY 82414) at 6:30 pm. If any of you can come early to help set up we will start setting up at 6 pm. At the meeting, the club will hold its 2nd Annual Members Rock Sale. In this sale, members can sell their own specimens and the member will keep the proceeds. Depending on how many members want to participate we will have an oral auction, or several silent auctions, or a combination of both. Members can also price an item and sell it first come first serve.
1- Members can bring up to seven items they would like to sell. (The limit is so we can let everyone participate).
2-Members will place a minimum bid on each item. There is no limit to what minimum bid can be set but we would like to have some items with low minimum bids.
3-Both members and nonmembers can bid on items however only members will be allowed to sell. Any nonmembers who would like to sell items can join at the meeting.
4-Please limit items to rock, mineral and fossil specimens,lapidary products (jewlery, book ends, etc), lapidary equipment or rock collecting equipment such as rock hammers, chisels, etc. Photos of rocks or taken on field trips are also permitted.
5-The seller or their agent must be at the meeting. All items must be removed from the Library at the end of the meeting.
6-Please let Greg Jones, Stephanie Melbratten or Nella Flurkey know if you plan to sell anything and how many items you plan to bring by Noon on the day of the meeting. This will allow us to plan.
7-Bring some money with you to buy stuff and have fun!
We will have a short business meeting after the sale.
The Agenda, Minutes, and Treasurer’s Report are attached. Please let me know if you did not recieve them or can’t open them.
