Sensing Color and Value Outdoors with Paul Kethley – Saturday, June 10th, 9am to 4pm. For intermediate acrylic and oil painters. Students will work with values, color, color temperature and edges to achieve three-dimensional effects in landscapes. You will practice mixing typical (local) landscape colors that closely represent sky, background, middle ground and foreground with explanations of temperature and value. After this exercise, students will practice distribution of light, medium and dark tones to form successful compositions. Weather permitting, class will meet at a predetermined outdoor location. $99 members ($110 non-members).
