Join Whitney Western Art Museum Scarlett Curator Susan Barnett and Curatorial Assistant Dr. Ashlea Espinal in celebrating 64 years of the Western Art at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Because each painting and sculpture on view shares a story about the American West from a unique perspective, what better way to understand their passions than experiencing it with the experts!

The various artists represented in the Whitney are the storytellers, and their backgrounds, lived experiences, and prevailing cultural attitudes shaped their work.

During this premium 2-hour event, Susan and Ashlea will share facts, stories, and tidbits about the Western painters and art styles that inspire art today.

At the end of the tour Susan and Ashlea will bring the group back to the Exclusive Tours Depot for Q&A, charcuterie, and adult beverages. Guests will get to celebrate the Whitney Western Art Museum’s 64th anniversary in style with our “Paint Pot Sour” specialty drink and colorful confections.
