Winter Farmers Market

If we’re gonna build a legit local food system, we cant forget about WINTER! That’s what we’re doing @codyfarmersmarket. We keep on keepin’ on All. Winter. Long. Cuz unfortunately we humans can’t hibernate, and we prefer to eat food in the winter.

You’d be surprised what there is to eat locally right here in a Cody, Wyoming Winter. Slowly but surely we’re getting better at harvesting FRESH produce through the winter even in -20 degree temps. Canned goods of all kinds are always available because well……they’re canned! Beef sure does freeze great and thaws into a very edible form in January, February, March and all the months! and Honey, well Honey will probably last until the end of time because they’re finding Honey in Egyptian tombs that’s still good!
