FOAL: Celebrating 50 Years of Wild Horses
Please join FOAL on July 2, 2021 for a special event:
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act that was passed on December 15, 1971. This also marks the 16th year that FOAL has been dedicated to the enhancement of the habitat for all creatures living with the McCullough Peaks Herd Management Area (HMA).
The act recognizes wild horses and burros as “living symbols of the historic and pioneer spirit of the West” and what better place to celebrate than being outdoors, in the Wild West, surrounded on three sides by the McCullough Peaks HMA. Who knows, maybe the wild horses will graze by for a look!
To celebrate these remarkable and noteworthy accomplishments, FOAL is planning a celebration on July 2, 2021 at the kiosk located on Wyoming’s Wild Horse Highway (previously Hwy 14-16-20) 27 miles east of Cody. C’mon out after the Kiddie Parade in Cody!
