WELCOME
Happy Wednesday! It's time to start looking toward Father's Day Weekend.
The flooding this week will impact tourism over the next few weeks. It is unclear what the timeline is moving forward, but we are, so far, in the clear to see the East Gate open when everything checks out. However, the flooding may not be over yet. The North Loop in the park and possibly the Beartooth Highway may not open for some time.
There will be a Digital Town Hall with Yellowstone National Park for Cody today at 2:30. Check the Chamber site or their social media for the link.
Many thanks to the Musser Bros for hauling needed items (blankets, pillows, non-perishables) to Red Lodge. It means more to the evacuees than you might realize. I have not been able to find out if they will continue to haul trailer loads or not, but if so, they will load up at the Old Post Office. Also, Sunlight Sports will donate part of their proceeds from sales on Thurs and Fri.
Cody Calendar has now added an ELECTIONS PAGE to the site to more easily find information about the upcoming elections. Any candidates are welcome to submit their events here.
Feel free to forward this email along to family and friends! Hit the reply button if you have anything to share. Have a great rest of your week and weekend!

Thank you for your time and support.

ELECTIONS
Eight people are running for the three positions open for County Commissioners in Park County this year. Because all of them are republicans, the primary will decide this election.
With mail-in voting beginning on July 1, that doesn't give us much time to learn more about the people willing to take on the responsibility of directing our county for the long term.
The Cody Chamber is devoting the next Cody Club (meeting of the chamber members) to a forum to learn more about our choices. This forum is one of the last chances to hear from the candidates.
County Commissioners make highly impactful decisions about what projects are funded and who gets the contracts to complete the projects.
Come to Cody Club to hear the candidates - all are welcome even if you aren't a chamber member. Many thanks to the Chamber for organizing this opportunity. To learn more, skim through the minutes of the county commissioner meetings here https://parkcounty-wy.gov/meetingminutes/.
